In what League do the Salamanders Play?
Your Salamanders are members of the Coastal Plain League, which consists of 15 teams throughout the Carolinas and Virginia. Teams are divided into an East and West division.

What Level of Baseball is the Coastal Plain League?
The CPL is a collegiate summer league. Players compete for their respective universities during the school year and then join their CPL teams from May to August.  The CPL offers scouting exposure for players who are looking to be drafted by Major League teams.  Wooden bats are used in CPL play as opposed to aluminum in the college game, so players get practice under professional game conditions.

How Many Games are in the CPL Season?
The CPL plays a 56-game regular season schedule along with an All Star game.

Are There Playoffs and a Championship?
Yes, the CPL Championship award is the Petitt Cup.  At the end of the regular season teams are seeded for a playoff tournament with the final two clubs facing off in the Championship series.

Are CPL Teams Affiliated With Major League Clubs?
No, the CPL is an independent collegiate league and teams do not have Major League affiliations.

Have CPL Players Gone on to Play in the Majors?
Yes, nearly 1,300 former CPL players have been drafted by Major League teams and through the 2016 season 94 have played in MLB. Some notable CPL alumni include Justin Verlander (Wilson Tobs), Kevin Youkilis (Florence Red Wolves), and NFL quarterback Russell Wilson (Gastonia Grizzlies)

Are CPL Players Paid?
No, CPL players are not compensated financially so they retain their collegiate eligibility.

Where do Players Live during the Season?
Players reside with host families in the local community. Host families are an integral part of the CPL operation and provide lodging and basic amenities for players.

Who is the Manager of the Salamanders?
Andrew Ciencin, a former standout infielder and team captain at N.C. State from 2009-2011 coached the Salamanders for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.

Where do the Salamanders Play Their Home Games?
Your Salamanders will play in the brand new North Main Athletic Complex, located at 1151 North Main Street.

What Seating Areas are in the Stadium?
The stadium grandstand features 1,693 chair back seats, all with a great view of the field.  We are in the process of getting approval to offer standing room tickets as well. The Beer Garden featuring Carolina Brewing Company products will be on the third base side promenade and we plan to have picnic tables there for fans to enjoy the action from.

Where Should I Park on Game Night?
The stadium lot located off of Main Street has 1,100 parking spots. 

Is Parking Free or is there a Charge?
Parking is free.

How do I Access the Stadium Parking Lots?
You can enter stadium parking through the Main Street entrance at 1151 North Main Street. Holly Springs Police will assist with traffic flow before and after games.

Can I Tailgate Before and After Salamanders Games?
Tailgating in the stadium lot is not permitted.

Can outside food or beverage be brought into the stadium
No outside food or beverages may be brought into the stadium

What Concessions are Available in the Stadium?
We currently have popcorn, candy, pizza, hotdogs, and Zaxby’s chicken strips and sandwiches along with Pepsi products.

Are Alcoholic Beverages Sold at Games?
Yes, we are proud to partner with Carolina Brewing Company and will feature their beers at the stadium.  We will also serve beers from other local breweries such as Aviator, Draftline, and Bombshell as well as Miller Lite, Yuengling, and wine. Alcohol sales will cease at the end of the 7th inning.

Where Can I Buy a Salamanders Shirt, Jersey, Hat or Other Gear?
You can buy gear at the stadium or online!

Will Salamanders Games be Broadcast on the Radio?
